This special Kobe edition of AF1 draws inspiration from one of the many shoes worn by Kobe during the 2002-2003 season, more specifically in that period in which, having interrupted his previous contract, he had not yet officially signed with Nike. The original worn on the field was a mid version of the AF1 that celebrated Kobe's career in Los Angeles, with touches of Varsity Maize and Varsity Purple. We have kept the leather outer layers, the Air cushioning and the typical rounded toe of the model. Then we added overlapping Swoosh logos and a matching Varsity Maize sole. The Sheath logo and the Kobe number sewn on the heel come together with a Sheath logo always printed on the back, on the outside, to finish the look in perfect Mamba style. Putting two legends together, this "Home" colorway pays homage to one of the most epic legacies ever left by an athlete.
