The design is inspired by the iconic photo on the insole: Kobe training wearing a baggy yellow shirt and matching shorts over soft flannel pyjamas, and a chalk on his broken right hand. Made of fine Soft Yellow leather, with Dusty Amethyst details and knitted laces that recall her famous pyjamas, this shoe embodies that moment.
The star-patterned sole of the AF1 is replaced by a series of repeated Sheath logos, and the five NBA titles won by Kobe are finely engraved in the five concentric rings. Finally, like every Kobe Protro model, this AF1 is equipped with improved and targeted technologies, such as the ultra-soft ReactX foam combined with Nike Air cushioning for exceptional comfort.
